Food and drinks were excellent, except the Warrenside Old Fashion was a little weak. Outside needs to be modernized but as a previous reviewer stated "don't judge a book by its cover"

The Warrenside Tavern has been serving the residents and visitors of Stewartsville, New Jersey for decades and it has earned its spot within the community. The Warrenside Tavern has been open since 1924, which makes it (at least during this writing) one hundred years old and in that century, it is interesting how Stewartsville, New Jersey changed, as well as how much the world changed. In fact, 1924 was the year that J. Edgar Hoover was appointed the first director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (better known as the FBI) and 1924 also marked the first year that the first Olympic Winter Games was held in France. The world was still recovering World War I and World War II was years away. Anyway, the Warrenside Tavern has a great ambiance and the staff is friendly and professional. One thing that i will say is that in a world where change is normal, the Warrenside Tavern brings back a lot of nostalgia. Plus, while the menu doesn't veer too far from the expected, it is still enjoyable.

Food quality still very good. Menu has been cut back a bit. Service has generally improved at the tables but there's still room to improve at the bar.

I live local to this restaurant. This has been an easy access place for consistent food and service for 30 years , (while I have lived in the area.)

This is an old school bar with an atmosphere of history and warmth. The staff were lovely and our food was very good. Do not come here for a 5 star dining experience and complain. Come here if you want good simple food that it served hot and fresh by a server who is friendly. Come here if you want to saddle up to a bar that is adorned with brass memorial tags of those who are remembered to have sat there long before.

My wife and I hit this place up on a rainy Saturday. It is a little pricey for soup and sandwiches compared to some other places, but the food was very good and well worth the premium. It's a little dark inside, giving it that rustic feel. The server was attentive and polite. If you want to get away from the Rt31 corridor of mediocrity, this is the place to go.
